Widemouth Bay lies just outside Bude in North Cornwall.  The sandy beaches are ideal for surfing and other water sports.  There are two cafes on the beach with a general store at the far end of the bay heading towards Bude.  Just along the road from Widemouth Bay Holiday Village there is the Widemouth Bay Manor pub and The Bay View Inn is found near the general store.  Bude, which is approximately 4 miles from Widemouth Bay, is a bustling little town with many restaurants and cafes, banks, shops, a launderette, a library, pubs and supermarkets.  Bude has two sandy beaches, Crooklets and Summerleaze.
